The Vienna Circle

A found poem adapted from a passage from Donald A. Schön’s The Reflective Practitioner

The only significant statements
about the world
are those based on empirical observation,
and all disagreements about the world
can be resolved, in principle,
by reference to observable fact.

Propositions which are neither
analytically nor empirically testable
are held to have no meaning at all.
They are dismissed as emotive utterance,
poetry,
or mere nonsense.
